About Me
My name is Kendall Daniels, and I'm a science writer who focuses on the life sciences, health sciences, and medical humanities. I've always been naturally intrigued about science, and writing has given me the opportunity to not only learn about the subjects that fascinate me, but also to share my joy and wonder with others.

Currently, I work as a Communication Specialist at the University of North Carolina's School of Medicine / UNC Health. I began my studies at Virginia Tech as a biology major with the intention of attending medical school. It didn't take long for me to understand that communicating science to others came more naturally to me than doing science. I decided to forge my own path in science writing when I changed my degree to Professional and Technical Writing. But my new path didn't stop my scientific curiosity. As I was taking my technical writing courses, I was also studying Human Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Medical Dilemmas, Narrative Medicine, and any other science and medical humanities courses that interested me.

I typically write press releases, feature stories, and long form pieces. Most are for my job, but some are created of my own volition. If you have a subject that you would like for me to tackle, feel free to contact me.
